We are requesting that we be included in the Kingston and the Thousand Islands federal and provincial electoral boundaries for the following reasons:
- Reside within City of Kingston boundaries.
- Reside in Countryside District of the City of Kingston
- Only 4 km (5 minutes) from downtown Kingston
- Only 10 km from Kingston constituency office versus 90 km to Brockville
- Police, fire and ambulance services supplied from Kingston.
- Pay municipal and property taxes to the City of Kingston
- Our social, cultural and economic activities are all centred in Kingston.
- For the past few years, we were included in the Lanark-Frontenac district and our representation has been poor to non-existent. Being forced into Brockville area would result in similar non-existent representation.
