We are writing to request that, as Kingston residents located on Hughes Road, north of the 401, we not be assigned to the Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott riding, and instead included with Kingston and the Islands where we live.
Our residence is in an area that is serviced by Kingston police & fire services. Our three young children are all involved in hockey & baseball programs in Kingston (KAHMA, Ice Wolves, KBA), they attend Kingston elementary and high schools. We do not have any involvement in social or cultural activities in Gananoque, Brockville or Prescott.
Additionally, our property taxes are paid to the City of Kingston, not to Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott.
Our drive to the constituency office would be much more feasible, only 10 km to Kingston as opposed to 90 km to Brockville.
