I live within the City of Kingston boundaries, but because of a bureaucrat, I am now put in with jurisdictions that do not have any interest in our issues, Gananoque, Brockville or Prescott.
We live in the City of Kingston. We shop in the city of Kingston. We work in the City of Kingston. We are protected by Kingston Fire and Rescue, Kingston City police, Frontenac Paramedic Service, not Leeds Grenville EMS, Ontario Provincial police, Brockville police, Leeds Fire Department, or Brockville fire.
We pay taxes to the City of Kingston. Instead of travelling 10 kilometers to the constituency office, I would have to travel 90 kilometers.
Geographical boundaries have made no sense in the past, and definitely make no sense in the current political atmosphere.
This change in boundaries makes absolutely no sense, economically, or politically. You are taking away my political influence and interest.
