I was made aware of a potential change of riding for my location. I have found the existing riding difficult as the constituency office is a hour and 27 minutes away from me, making a visit problematic. The new proposal is no better as the constituency office in Brockville is 49 minutes away. All my services are provided by the city of Kingston and I pay taxes to the city of Kingston. Thus my representative should be within this area, namely Kingston and the Islands.
I understand the effort to equalize population within every riding. However in this case my wish is to have a local representative.
