I am writing to you in regards to including the area I live in (South Frontenac) back into the Kingston and the Islands federal riding boundary as opposed to having it included in the proposed riding of Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott.
My interests do not align with the new proposed riding of Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott. My interests align more with Kingston and the Islands. Due to the following:
- We share police and fire services with Kingston.
- Myself and my family's social, cultural, and economic activity all centers around Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott)
- Should I need to visit the constituency office would be only a10 km trek into Kingston versus 90 km in Brockville
It just doesn't make sense at all to be grouped with anyone else other than Kingston. I appreciate you taking the time to hear my concern. Here's hoping for a common sense decision!!
