I am emailing to express my concern that this electoral reform will once again place my residence into a part of the map that I have nothing to do with.
I live 12 mins from downtown Kingston, 5 mins north of the 401. My family works in Kingston, my daughter goes to school in Kingston. Our friends, family, doctor, dentist, all reside in Kingston. I pay my taxes to the city of Kingston. My fire and police officials are from Kingston.
For a decade we have been in the wrong riding, and now with a chance to correct it, the proposal seeks to make it a different kind of worse for the next 10 years. It is pretty clear a resident that lives, works and pays taxes to the city of Kingston should be represented at the federal level by an MP who isn't 90km away.
Please take this into consideration.
