I have concerns about the proposed new riding of Burlington-Milton West. I'm aware that the new boundaries have been drawn based of population numbers. However, what this boundary doesn't take into consideration is population demographics. The new district would put my sub-urban Brant Hills neighbourhood in the same riding as a large section of rural communities. This could lead to poor representation for either group. The priorities of rural voters are understandably different than urban or sub-urban voters. To me it doesn't make sense to have Brant Hills and Tyandaga as part of the Milton district, and these communities should remain included with the proposed Burlington-Lakeshore riding.
