I humbly submit the following for your consideration,

I realize the commission's goal is to balance ridings by population but I also think that we need to keep in mind that the people that make up that population number have to easily understand those changes. It must make common sense so I don't understand how it makes sense to split this riding by dividing the Town of Halton Hills into 3 pieces. I feel if you simplify the boundaries of a new Halton Hills Milton North riding you would be maintaining the cohesive balance of small town urban and rural that made Wellington Halton Hills so successful with very justifiable and easy explained new boundaries - Erin Halton Townline south to Derry Road, Winston Churchill Blvd. west to Tremaine with a slight job through urban Milton from Tremaine to Derry.

If Halton Hills is split Georgetown will get swallowed up by Milton and Oakville which are still growing rapidly. Driving down Trafalgar or Hwy 25 through Milton towards Oakville it's clear these are rapidly becoming cities not towns. The thing you hear the most from new residents of Halton Hills is that they chose to move here because we've been successful in keeping our small town atmosphere while growing, something both Milton and Oakville have lost. In the past when the riding boundaries were based on the Region of Halton, North Halton was often forgotten when it came to political decisions.

I'm urging you to re-consider and leave the Town of Halton Hills intact.
