I am writing you today to state that I am strongly opposed to the reduction of ridings in northern Ontario as proposed by the Federal Electoral Boundary Commission.
We are underrepresented as it is, and do not share the same attention from whichever federal party forms government as southern Ontario does.
Prince Edward Island is much smaller in size than northern Ontario. And population wise has fewer residents than Greater Sudbury, but they have four MP's. You're proposing removing Nickel Belt from Sudbury all together, which would leave us with only one MP to serve 166,000 people.
We have the right to be represented fully, fairly and equally to other regions of Canada with comparably sized rural populations.
