I commend the work you have put into the new boundary proposals, this is not an easy task. However, I am concerned the proposed boundaries for Essex and Chatham-Kent-Leamington-Kingsville do not represent the community character or history of the region in Windsor Essex. I am a lifelong resident of Windsor Essex and my family has been in the region for generations. Windsor Essex is a close-knit community and it is rare that we do business beyond Tilbury or Wheatly. If anything my experience is that the northern portion of the county casually visits Chatham Center and the southern portion occasionally travels to Blenheim. I understand the difficulties of balancing population changes with redistribution but I believe that our region would be more fairly reflected with minimal riding drift joining to the east. The towns of Leamington, Kingsville, and Pelee are better reflected in Essex. I would rather purpose a North Essex and South Essex. This would historically reflect the region and give a more accurate representation of the community.
