I have been a resident of Elgin County all my life. The plan to redraw the lines of the electoral districts in our part of Ontario is very concerning to me. Redrawing these lines will cause municipalities and the services they have in place around healthcare, social services, and not-for-profit sectors to be negatively impacted.
Given the present struggles of people just to get by during these difficult times, I would suggest that this redrawing of boundaries be postponed. The services that are in place are already inadequate for the needs of our community. Please reconsider. The lives of many people will be even more disrupted by this change.
